Lyndale Church Lodge

We had a wonderful family vacation in Minneapolis and stayed at this beautiful church converted into an Airbnb. We had an issue the first day with the AC not working but the team was super responsive and even provided us portable ACs while they resolved the issue. I was pretty impressed with how quickly they dealt with the whole thing. We have 3 little kids and they loved the house and had lots of fun running around upstairs and playing. There is plenty of street parking and grocery stores and cafes near by! We had a great time!

Unique spot! Plenty of space for a larger group, clean, nice modern details while incorporating some of the old (and churchy) charm/artfacts. The neighborhood was mostly charming.

This place is even prettier than pics. My nephew is local who recommended we use this as thanksgiving venue - hosted 20 for thanksgiving no problem - all around that beautiful table. Place sleeps far less as advertised which worked fine since we had locals and hotels
Kitchen had everything we needed excepted roaster and larger tins
Place is organized where upstairs is public area and downstairs three beds, small cozy family room and well equipped kitchen

In this large space, there are multiple spaces for conversations, dining, playing board games, or watching movies. The former church has been lovingly transformed into a beautiful vacation home. A blend of historic style and a modern kitchen, upscale bathrooms, and bedrooms make this a comfortable space. It is close to the Minneapolis biking trails, parks, and lakes, as well as restaurants.

A gorgeous, unique unit. So well appointed we really didn’t need to communicate with the host much at all but they were very responsive when we did. A really special, comfortable stay with a big wow factor.

Absolutely Stunning

Absolutely stunning building, so much character and brilliant "redesign" into an airbnb. Kitchen is completely and fully stocked with cookware (bring your own spices, oils and cleaning supplies). Everything else was just amazing, beds and linens top tier, towels big and lush. And then just enjoying the space with friends and getting beautiful 'gram shots!

What a find! We held our family Christmas celebration there and it was the best place to come together! So many spots to gather, a table that fit everyone with room to spare, the most fully-appointed kitchen I’ve ever had in a rental. It’s a gorgeous and super comfortable space. We hope to get it again next year!

Awesome stay!
This was my first experience using VRBO and everything was extremely easy to navigate and the location was awesome. Parking on the street was plentiful, tons of space inside, and very clean and comfortable. Definitely would recommend!

We had a great stay and would book again. It was the perfect location for our family of six adults and one child to celebrate a late Christmas, and we had room for a few more relatives to join us for dinner. The space was gorgeous, clean, well appointed and very comfortable, plus lots of history. There was space to gather, or spend some time apart -- perfect for a family gathering! The pool table was a hit with all generations, and the old manual typewriter was a surprising hit with the six year old. The kitchen was well stocked and very functional for cooking Christmas dinner and other meals, with room for gathering.
Can't say enough about this place -- hope we have a reason to book it again!

Lovely stay! It was the perfect place to celebrate my 30th birthday and the “death of my youth!” Absolutely beautiful! The pillows and beds were as divine as the church! Bathroom, kitchen, living area, etc were so beautiful! Highly recommend!

Fun, unique, and very large rental
We rented this spot because we did not want to leave the building for three days. We had 84 - 21 year olds and we all had something to do at all times. It is very well appointed with lots of little sitting areas. We cooked all of our meals and watched a lot of college football. Very nice place - exactly as described.

Very quirky (good way), loved the accommodations. Be a little careful with the steps/transition. b/w rooms. Beautiful church, loved the library, all the seating areas, pool table, gigantic movie size tv (owner provided dvd player upon request). And a dream kitchen! Beds were also comfy, nice showers.

Surprise 50th birthday
My husband and I traveled from Alaska My son and wife from Maine Grandson from LA My sons high school buddy from Ohio It was my sons 50th birthday. He’s a lifelong Vikings fan. So we went to the game. The place was perfect for us. The place is amazing, the atmosphere perfect. The furnishings spectacular. Clean, spacious. The whole setting was great. Loved it!

If you're looking for a truly divine experience, look no further! This converted church turned lodge is a heavenly retreat with a twist. The place is massive – plenty of room to stretch out your legs and your imagination.
The bedrooms are sinfully comfortable, perfect for sleeping like an angel. However, the real fun begins when you explore the nooks and crannies filled with repurposed church relics. Imagine using a centuries-old church bench as your breakfast nook – it’s like brunching with history!
Now, I must warn you about the decor. Those fake apples on display are the real test of faith – they fooled our kids, who hilariously attempted to snack on them. Note to future guests: they're not the forbidden fruit, just a harmless prank!
Adding to the whimsical charm, we had a crow visit us, just like in a fairy tale. It swooped in, probably checking to see if our stay was up to par (it seemed pleased, by the way).
This place is a divine blend of comfort, history, and a space.

What a great place! We were looking for a quick weekend after school let out, and something unique with the kids. Really high quality renovation of a late 1800's church, high end finishes. Comfortable, fun, pool table, chess, great big tables. Quiet in the basement for sleeping. AC even worked great. I think we'll come back in the winter. The pictures don't lie, better in person even. Would recommend to anyone.

This is a phenomenal place, so unique and fun. The pictures don't do justice to the beauty of it. The star is the church area upstairs but the downstairs, where the kitchen and bedrooms are located, is top notch as well. The kitchen was well supplied. The whole place was spotless. The management team was very responsive and helpful. For a special getaway, I highly recommend this rental.

Yes, there’s the obvious “WOW” factor of the soaring ceilings and expansive square footage, but what you may not pick up on the website are the impeccable finishes — kitchen and baths are done to perfection, and stocked with top-notch products that make for lots of “can I just move in here permanently?” moments. Special shout-out to the management team, who were great with communication and help before, during, and after our stay. I highly recommend this space, which was at the top of our family’s Airbnb budget but so, so worth the splurge.

Unique, comfortable, cozy
I stayed at the church with two of my work colleagues for work we were doing in Minneapolis. To be honest I didn't know what to expect, it being a church, but I was pleasantly surprised. This ended up being one of the best choices we've made as far as lodging. The church is spacious and cozy at the same time. The drive into the city was barely more than 10 minutes. It has me thinking I'd like to come back and do some relaxing in the area just so I can stay at the church again.

This is a unique and fun stay for a group or family event. The host spent a lot of time on details and history of the Church and area and it shows.
Close to Uptown for great restaurants and bars.
Kitchen areas have really nice appliances and are well stocked with everything you need.
Overall, this is a fun place to host an event in Minneapolis and impress your guests.

And cleaning supplies, they only had dish soap/dishwasher soap/laundry soap. If you're like me and like to wipe everything down before and after use- bring your own.

This place was perfect for our three-generation family reunion. There was lots of room upstairs for meals and games. The pool table was very popular with all ages, as was the grand piano and the big-screen TV for movies and games. The soaring ceilings are spectacular, creating amazing acoustics from the piano or voices.
The downstairs was very comfortable for sleeping and meals that were eaten at home. The snacks that were left for us were a nice surprise.
Everyone wants to stay here the next time we come to Minneapolis!

We stayed at this beautiful home "church" the weekend of our wedding. It was the perfect location to host our friends and family for a small gathering the night before our wedding and a great place for getting ready the day of. It looks exactly like the pictures, beds and bedding were so comfortable and the space was very clean.
This is definitely a place we will return to! It exceeded our expectations and we can't wait to stay with Minnestay again.
