Rum River Resort

This home was wonderful for a long weekend vacation/staycation with family! Tons of space, very comfortable, and lots of spaces to hang out. The kids loved the HUGE pool and the arcade games, and the pool table and loving room area were also excellent. Comfortable furnishings and plenty of towels. The kitchen had plenty of dishes and silverware for a very large group (all plastic, which we didn't mind at all since we had little ones in the group!), and basic pots/pans/etc but not a ton of other extras. Our only issue was we couldn't get the sauna to work--possibly user error, but we followed the directions. Would've been nice to have, but we still really enjoyed our stay and would rent again if the occasion arises!

Incredibly fun!

The renters were always timely in their response and the home was amazing. It was incredibly fun with lots to do without ever leaving the house! Venturing into the nearby town(s) was fun with neat little shops to explore. An honestly great value!

The house was located in a nice, quiet area. We had a family of 11 adults stay there and it had plenty of space for all of us. The host was very responsive to our questions. It was close to restaurants and activities around the cities. One thing that could make it better would be more cooking items in the kitchen. Overall, it was a great space for our family get away!

FAMILY WEEKEND HERE WAS A HUGE SUCCESS!
When you pull up to the house you think it's small, but it was huge inside! We have a very large family and it was perfect for a long weekend for us. This is our Christmas gift to our kids and grandkids and it did not disappoint! The pool was a hit and it was a full size pool. The boys loved playing basketball in there and the younger ones loved floating around and playing in the pool with no time limits! We did bring our own floaties to use. Beach towels were provided there. The sauna was a big hit! I loved that the bedrooms upstairs are away from the pool table area, so the boys could play pool into the night and we didn't hear them. 3 1/2 bathrooms were great as that is always needed! We loved that we could put our truck in the garage for the weekend. The house is the last one on that street, so no traffic. They had plenty of extra throw blankets around to use in the comfy recliners when they watched TV upstairs. The bar area was perfect with round tables to play games and puzzles on. Only thing I would say is needed is extra garbage cans downstairs as we like to recycle and keep garbage separate. We also like to wash our dishes, so could have used a dish tray with some dish rags, towels and some scrubbies for the pans. Otherwise they have a dishwasher for use. We just had a lot of pans to clean and loved the big sink. There is Super Target close by if in need of items. Highly recommend this house for a get away! Thanks for a fun weekend!

Exceeded expectations
This is a great property. The house was spacious, clean and inviting. We loved being able to hang out together or spread out throughout the multiple living areas. Comfy furniture and beds. Great dining space with room for everyone. We spent many hours enjoying the pool, which was warm and awesome for the January days! Perfect for our group of friends and small kids. Will recommend to others and would absolutely rent again.

We planned a family winter weekend getaway, and the property provided a perfect location. The six spacious bedrooms meant everyone had their own room. All of the beds and furniture were very comfortable. The indoor swimming pool provided both the kids and adults with hours of entertainment during the Minnesota winter. We also had a pool tournament in the game room and enjoyed the movie theatre room. The kitchen and large dining table were perfect for our large family.

Perfect weekend getaway
We stayed for a weekend and had a fantastic time. Everything was as pictured. The property was clean. We loved that there was all sorts of gear for the pool already there. Kitchen was nicely stocked. We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful rental for a group of young families with kids of all ages! The indoor pool was incredible and came with everything! The hosts were very friendly and responsive, the neighborhood was peaceful and close to food options. Overall an excellent option for a crowd!

Football Fans
Our group likes to travel to watch our football team and explore new cities. Our say here was excellent and we really enjoyed how we could all be in the same spaces as there are several large areas to hang out together.

Well laid out for our 4 grown kids, spouses and 3 grandkids
Everything worked, the indoor pool was fantastic! many of us have jobs and it was always easy to find a quiet room to "Teams" or work. A big grocery store is near by, as well as a lot of restaurants as well.

Great place and a part of Anoka history. Had a family gathering with children, their partners and grandchildren. The house was plenty big enough for all of us to get together and have privacy. Everyone loved the pool and was fun to swim and see the snow outside!

Great place for a large family with kids. The pool was great, the game room and movie room were also well received by the entire family. Beds are comfortable and linens are hotel quality. Host provided toothbrushes, paste, soaps, mouthwash, popcorn and snacks along with a whole bean bag of coffee - all nice touches. Good selection of kitchen accessories for cooking your own meals. Make sure to bring your own coffee (or grinder) as none is provided. If you have small children you may want to bring your own pack-n-play. A safety gate is not a bad idea either. The spiral staircase in the kitchen is a magnet for small children and they will tumble (as witnessed) like Jack & Jill straight to the bottom. Overall it was a good stay and would recommend to others. OH - and if someone parks in the driveway and breaks into the garage, its just the garbage man taking the trash cans to the curb. HA!

This house is an awesome place to stay. It's very large, beautiful on the inside and outside. It was as described. The beds are comfortable, and the bathrooms are very clean. I want to say one of the best places I have stayed. Kids had a blast with the pool, and they had a very fun and pleasant stay. This is definitely a place where a big sized group can stay and be comfortable.

Family Reunion

All 17 of us enjoyed a wonderful family reunion thanks to MINNeSTAY and the Rum River Resort. The property had everything that we needed without leaving. There were lots of things to do together - eating, fire out back, playing pool, watching movies and swimming in the pool but there was also enough space to have personal quiet time. I definitely recommend this property! Overall, I know I will use MINNeSTAY properties again because of their good communication , responsiveness and attention to detail.

We had a great time! The woods were beautiful and the SUPs were fun. The river is quite close and the short hike to get to it easy. The rooms were very clean and the beds were so comfortable. The futon sofas were a bit less comfy as one could feel the bars through the cushions but we were able to use some of the extra comforters as additional padding. Kitchen was great for cooking and buffet style meals as well as for a large group to gather and chat as we were preparing food. The large table let us all eat together. What was really nice was that there were pans and utensils available. That hasn't always been our experience so it was a relief that we didn't have to buy any of that stuff for our stay. It was easy to feel comfortable in this place and we settled in quickly. The information provided by Minnestay was thorough and set very clear expectations. And...the pool was great!

Our family enjoyed the kitchen, dinning and pool areas the most. Lots of cribbage, euchre and board games played at the large dining table. Mosquitos didn’t allow us to use the back yard and river like we were planning.

Wonderful time, comfy mattresses and bedding. Spice carousel was great. Wished we had a few microwaveable containers to heat up food.
Pool was the hit of the stay!
Staff was extremely supportive!

Great house with lots of space for our large family. Adults and kids had plenty of space to move around. Loved the large dining space where we could all sit and eat together. The downstairs entertainment area was a hit as well. The pool was a great plus for the trip. We would definitely stay here again.

The house was enormous, clean, and provided tons of things for all of us to do. It was well stocked and the owner went above and beyond to address any issues we had and resolved them quickly. Our only complaint was that the patio doors to the backyard are extremely difficult to open and close.
